Problem

Backing up and/or restoring the DeskLot registry settings.

Solution

Making a backup copy of the DeskLot registry settings.

Click "Start"
Click "Run"
In the "Open" input box type "RegEdit"
Note: On some computers it might be "RegEdit32"
Click "OK"
Expand the "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT" item.
Expand the "Software" item.
Click the "WalkTheLot" item.
Wth the "WalkTheLot" item selected, click "File" from the upper-left menu and then click "Export"
The "Export Registry File" dialog box will open.
Browse to a location on your hard drive where you want to save the file to.
In the "File name" input box we suggest naming it "DeskLot" (which will save the file as "DeskLot.reg".
Click "Save".

Restoring a backup of the DeskLot registry settings.

Click "Start"
Click "Run"
In the "Open" input box type "RegEdit"
Note: On some computers it might be "RegEdit32"
Click "OK"
Select "My Computer".
Click "File" from the upper-left menu and then click "Import".
The "Import Registry File" dialog box will open.
Browse to the location on your hard drive where you saved the registry settings file to (see Making a backup copy of the DeskLot registry settings for more details on this).
Select the .reg file (whatever you named it, for example: DeskLot.reg).
Click "Open".

To insure the file has successfully been imported you may:

Expand the "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT" item.
Expand the "Software" item.
Expand the "WalkTheLot" item. If nothing exists, it didn't import.
